Government spending has gone up while tax take has gone down dramatically. The government has borrowed more in the last couple of months than it did all last year

The next prime minister of this country will have to put this right and will be the most unpopular leader since Mrs Thatcher. And any action is being sacrificed until after the next election because it is electorally unpopular.
In the meantime, if Gordon Brown were a CEO, he would be facing a class action charges of negligence
