Well, we got one good discussion going, see if we can get another one.
I loved this article.
Now you’ve read it, what are your thoughts. Is this a geezer who has played the field and then settled down ? Or is there a bit of an addict in all of us ?

This isn’t. It has everything you could ever want. It’s what the intertubes was invented for.

Errr …. possible NSFW warning.
OK, this is based on leaked information, but so far it doesn’t look good.
It’s butt-ugly, looks a bit fragile and worst of all it seems that Sony haven’t implemented backwards compatibility, so for PSP owners their library of games aren’t playable on the Go.
On the leaked video, it implies that “Sony would like to see the PSP platform become home to shorter, simpler ‘pick up and play’ games that can be downloaded from PlayStation Store.”
This particular longstanding PSP owner will be looking to “upgrade” elsewhere if this is true – either a DS, or more likely a next gen iPhone. You can’t get more “pick up and play” than something like Flight Control.
Prepare to ditch your Crackberries – I can see this taking off in the business community.

Gotta admit, I’m a little bit confused about O2’s announcement regarding the 3G iPhone on PAYG.
I was under the impression that PAYG meant no contract and you pay for what you use? As such, the data element of this offer seems reasonable – buy the phone, get unlimited 3G and wifi for twelve months and thereafter it’s £10 a month for however long you want to remain an O2 customer.
I’m potentially a heavy data, light call user, so I’m more interested in the apparent lock-in on the calling side. Unless I’m reading it wrong, I have to top up at least £10 a month. Given that the phone is locked to O2, isn’t that effectively a contract?
To put that in perspective, I currently pay between £3 and £5 a month for calls and texts. So what happens to the other £5 to £7 a month that I will never use? Will it be carried forward as a credit on my account for when I have to start paying for data? I suspect not.
O2 – thanks, but no thanks. I think I’ll wait until Apple breaks it’s monopoly deal with you – which, rumour has it, won’t be long …
Apparently Third Uncle has taken delivery of a nice, new, shiny BMW X5. I have the following questions …
If you’re going to buy a Beamer, why not get a decent one (M3, Six series)?
If you’re going to buy a 4×4, why not get a decent one (LR Discovery)?
How much offroading do you do – and no, I’m not talking about whilst playing Mario Kart Wii?
