Gagging order

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Can somebody clever who uses twitter, or someone who knows the sites to go to provide a link or a few clues to indicate the identity of the two Englans players using high court injunctions to block stories about their infidelities getting into the papers ?

I’m very curious as to who they are. Judging by our World cup performances I’d guess that one of them might be Shrek, and the other one is the one with a squeaky voice and scouse accent who is handy in a punch up when a DJ plays the wrong record.

Any ideas though ? The truth about why we played so badly in South Africa will come out at some point

SCOOP – Ming the Merciless on the BBC

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Ming the Merciless responds to Stephanie Flanders on the BBC. Is it really you or is it an imposter ?

“Greece has to get its deficit under control.

Buffering the problem externally just provides a get out, the problem remains.

However – Buffer Greece and they all line up so the probem spreads.

A liberal is somebody who wants to spend somebody elses money. As money is ont available there will be less liberals about.

Democracy is the mechanism that the majority use to ask for what they want. If the majority insist on asking for what is not there then democracy will fail. Hence Greece has to cut its own body.”

Blimey, give him a bottle of ouzo and and a week in Corfu, and all of a sudden he becomes an expert on the Greek economy :-)

Martina Hingis – voted off Strictly Come Dancing

Who cares, I just wanted to post up her picture really. More proof if ever you needed it that women get more beautiful as they get older. Now we must have that conversation about the peeque brand sometime.

The Secret & The Law of Attraction

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Anyone seen this film ? I keep hearing about it ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_(2006_film)

What do you reckon ? Are these powerful learnings which can be applied by anyone ? Or the end of critical thought in the 21st century, and  a load of tosh peddled about by charlatans ?

Have your say

King of Pop

Friday, March 6th, 2009

I see Michael Jackson has announced he’s doing playing some gigs at the O2 arena. If we can get tickets we may take the kids down there. I hadn’t realised that Thriller was 25 years ago, and that he’s now 50.

Now isn’t he looking good for his age ?

The X Factor

Monday, November 10th, 2008

This post is dedicated to mingey as I know he is a big music fan, and I’m sure he watches the X factor to keep up with what’s new and latest in British music talent :-)

When you’ve got kids, your choice of telly on a Saturday evening is no longer your own. You can lock yourself upstairs, listen to music, post on peeque and surf the web, but if you want to be sociable and spend time with your family …… well you have to go with the flow.

So this year for the first time I’ve started watching the X factor.

Now I used to think they were all talentless people who couldn’t write music, play their instruments and could only do karaoke acts. Well I still think that but it’s a lot of fun. And it’s brought us the likes of Will Young, Gareth Gates and Leona Lewis, who graced the closing ceremony at the Beijing Olympics by performing a ballad – just to show that after the 3,000 years of culture you can get 5 minutes of fame.

Well it was disgraceful tactical voting by Louis and Simon to remove Laura this week to keep their acts safer from the eventual winner. But now that Laura has gone, my vote will be for Diana, unless Ruth the sultry Spanish one promises to get her baps out.
